Fell Light began with the Scottish landscape and the sheep that have shaped it for generations.
Silver lochs, heathered hills, weathered stone and bracken warmed by the last of the evening light. These are the colours woven into Fell Light - an original CLÒ FOLD tartan celebrating Scotland’s farming heritage and the wool that begins there.
Woven in Selkirk by Lochcarron of Scotland from 100% traceable Scottish wool, the cloth travels from farm to Scottish weaver, before each skirt is made in Glasgow.
From Scottish sheep to Scottish cloth to the finished skirt. A piece of the landscape, made to be worn.
Fell Light begins on Scottish farms, with 100% traceable Scottish wool. Through our work with British Wool, we pay farmers an additional 25p per kg above the auction price, putting more value back into the farms behind our fibre.
The wool travels to Selkirk, where it is graded before being woven by Lochcarron of Scotland into our original Fell Light tartan.
From there, the finished cloth travels to Glasgow, where each skirt is cut and made by Glen Isla, before being finished with a soft cotton lining and considered detailing.
Scottish sheep → Scottish wool → Selkirk weaving → Glasgow making → your skirt.

Cut from our heavyweight Fell Light tartan, the skirt is softly structured with pleating that gives shape and movement while keeping a clean, feminine silhouette.
Finished with a discreet side zip and button fastening and a soft cotton lining for comfort against the skin.

This piece is available for pre-order and will be made in Scotland especially for you. Please allow approximately 3–4 weeks for your skirt to be made and dispatched. We’ll keep you updated and let you know as soon as it’s on its way.
RETURNS
We hope you’ll love your CLÒ FOLD piece. If it isn’t quite right, you can return it for an exchange or refund within 30 days of receiving your order, provided it is unworn and returned in its original condition.
